Payment Methods
  • Payments can be made in person at the BDAC Counter during official office hours. Accepted payment methods at the counter include cash and cheque. Please ensure your payment is processed before the registration deadline to secure your spot.
  • For those who prefer to pay via Bank Transfer, please transfer the full amount to the following account:
    Brunei Darussalam Arbitration Centre's BIBD Account Number: 00001010053564.
    After completing the bank transfer, kindly take a clear screenshot or photo of your payment confirmation and email it to info@bdac.com.bn with your full name and registration details.
    BDAC will review the payment and send you an official acknowledgement email confirming receipt. Please keep this email for your records.
  • Important: Full payment must be received prior to the commencement of the training program and assessment in order to confirm your participation. Partial payments or delayed payments may result in forfeiture of your registration.

Terms and Conditions

1. Placement in the SCMP or MSA will only be secured upon full payment of the fees. All confirmed participants will be notified via email.

2. Training registration fee includes programme materials, refreshments (morning and afternoon teabreaks) per training day for physical training sessions.

3. Early bird rate is only applicable to any registrations made before the closing date for early bird registrations as specified by BDAC. Standard rate shall apply to registrations after the closing of early bird registration.

4. All payments shall be made either by cash, cheque or bank transfer. If you require an invoice to make payment, please note that it may take 3 working days to process for issuance.

5. Withdrawal

a. Any confirmed participant may withdraw from the SCMP or MSA by giving a notice in writing to info@bdac.com.bn, before the commencement of SCMP or MSA.

b. Any notice of withdrawal received by BDAC within 14 days before the date of commencement of SCMP or MSA, any fees paid shall be non-refundable.

6. No Deferment
Any confirmed participant may not defer or postpone their participation in the SCMP or MSA. Absence from the programme shall be treated as withdrawal and Clause 5 (Withdrawal) shall apply.

7. Request for Replacement

a. Any confirmed participant may request to be replaced by another individual from the same organisation before the commencement of SCMP or MSA.

b. If the request is received by BDAC within 10 days before the date of commencement of SCMP or MSA, whichever applicable, an administrative fee of BND$100.00 shall be imposed for each replacement.

c. The request for replacement must be made in writing to info@bdac.com.bn.

8. Program Changes and Cancellation

a. BDAC reserves the right to cancel or change the date of the SCMP and MSA at any time. Any such changes will be notified to the confirmed participants as soon as possible.

b. In the event that BDAC cancels the SCMP or MSA, the full amount of the fees paid will be refunded or applied as a credit toward the rescheduled programme. Our liability shall be limited to the registration fees payable in relation to the rescheduled SCMP or MSA.

9. Intellectual Property

a. All intellectual property rights in and to the SCMP and MSA (the “Programme”), their content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Programme shall be the sole and exclusive property of BDAC and SMC (or appropriate third party owner(s), if any) and the participants shall not acquire any rights in such Programme, including any developments or variations of them.

b. The confirmed participants are entitled to use the course materials for personal purposes only, as background for the Programme. In no way the material can be used by, shared with or given to other individuals or third parties.

c. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this Terms and Conditions shall be deemed to vest in the participants or grant to them any legal or beneficial right in or to any trademarks or other intellectual property rights in the Programme materials. The participants agree not to reproduce, sell, and/or copy (in whole or in part) the Programme material, except for purposes of social media posting or post-event references. Audio and visual recordings for the distribution of commercial materials are not permitted without prior consent.

10. Privacy
All personal data and information collected on this registration form is for the use of course registration, Programme administration and related communication, and will be handled according to BDAC’s Privacy Policy. By submitting the registration form, you consent to BDAC collecting the information provided for the said purpose.

11. Certification
Participants must complete all training sessions to be eligible for a certificate of completion, and pass the MSA assessment to be eligible for certificate of accreditation. Certificates will be jointly issued by BDAC and Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC).

12. Mediator Accreditation

a. Participants who have passed the MSA will be allowed to refer themselves as “BDAC-SMC Accredited Mediator” and will be automatically added to BDAC’s Panel of Mediators upon application and submission of necessary documents.

b. Participants should be reminded that BDAC will not guarantee that they will be assigned mediation cases upon attaining the accreditation.
